Mid-Week Meditation

Hello everyone and welcome to our mid-week meditation.

This week we will begin with a short body scan looking for tension and allowing that tension to release and then engage in a loving-kindness meditation. This type of meditation is designed to cultivate compassion for yourself, your neighbor and the world. Within the stress and anxiety of society that is becoming all too familiar it is my hope that this gives you a short internal break from that anxiety.

At the end of this exercise you will be presented with an image which is accompanied with some soft music. Please feel free to remain in that place and in that relaxation for a long as you want (the music and image continue on for three hours) bringing yourself back into the room and back into your daily routine only when you feel ready to do so; give yourself permission to pause for a long as you would like.
