Virtual Voices

The Video E-Newsletter of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday May 15th 2020

Welcome to our second edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe it is the long weekend? It seemed two weeks ago that it would never arrive. And with it comes the opening of more stores and restaurants, and more places to be outside. Let's all continue to be careful so that we don't experience a major set back in NB with increased diagnosed cases of Covid-19.

Welcome to the second edition of our weekly e-newsletter. We have chosen the name "Virtual Voices". Thanks to Ilene Maund for that catchy name and to all those who sent in suggestions.

I want to start with thanks to those who have agreed to help me with communications - Kim Christie Gallant, the Communications Chair who was already very ably managing the church's Facebook page; Esther Mah who is one of those people who will do whatever she is asked to help out, Debbie Maund with all of her enthusiasm and Energizer Bunny, Bill Millett, with many of the ideas and the one who pulls it all together.

This week we tried a more casual format. Please take a listen to the upcoming activities and participate as you are able. Everything we offer is to help keep people in touch and/or to fund raise a little bit. We welcome your ideas and suggestions for announcements.

Kim will tell us about the need to establish a Committee to look at how reopening our building to the public might look. Please let me know if you would like to be a part of those discussions.

And just a reminder that we have another coffee chat this Sunday, May 17th at 11. If you are interested in participating, either with just audio or using the added bonus of video, please register by Friday, May 15th by emailing coffeechat@mountroyaluc.ca or by calling me. Rev. Stuart looks forward to speaking to you!

Stay safe and keep in touch,

Susan Fowler
