Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hi Everyone. Happy Friday.

I'm retired but I still look forward to weekends. I hope you do too even when they turn out to be busy ones. I hope yours is a good one.

It was great to rejoin the Virtual Voices team with Cathy, Esther and Bill this week to bring you news on a variety of things. We have details on everything from the sale of grocery gift cards, to the latest on bible study and reminders to have your elements ready for World Communion Sunday on Oct 4th. Be sure to watch this edition for guest appearances by Rev. Stuart and Dr. Terry Foreman.

I am excited for in person attendance at worship and pleased that small groups who have been gathering outside for months will be able to meet in the social hall starting next week. The province has done a good job managing the spread of Covid -19 and at Mount Royal we all have to work especially hard to keep our members safe.

And to help us to that we have four great videos that Bill Millett did of Jill MacArthur Guy demonstrating proper hand sanitizing and washing, how to safely put on and take off a mask and a great reminder to get a flu shot this year. You can find the link for the videos here or look for them on the church website under "Important COVID-19 Information". I encourage you to watch them and pay very close attention. Thanks to Bill and Jill for caring enough about their church families to share such great advice.

Be well everyone. As usual, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

All proper hand and surface sanitation protocols were observed prior to and after the making of this video.  :-)

If you have scrolled all the way down here to the bottom, we thought you would enjoy something uplifting.
