The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Thursday Feb 11th 2021

Welcome to our thirty sixth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:10 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hello Mount Royal Friends:

This week the announcements are a bit longer but rather exciting because it means we have some new activities to announce. We have events for fellowship, learning and a chance to give back to our community. All are quite time sensitive so please, if you are interested in taking part, be sure to reach out to either the Christian Development Committee at cdc@mountroyaluc.ca or to revstuart@mountroyaluc.ca to indicate your interest or to me for the FSLDW Regional Council Affirm Standing Committee.

This Sunday Rev. Stuart's message is entitled "Jesus Chose to Walk with You". We will share the sacrament of communion. Think it doesn't feel like communion if you are not in the sanctuary? I googled that and read this quote from Life. Church "When Jesus first modeled the spiritual tradition of communion, He did it in someone's home. If you're a Jesus follower, you can take communion just about anywhere."

If you are joining worship online please be sure to have your elements of choice ready before you begin to watch the service. If you attend in person worship, your elements will be available for you to pick up when you arrive at the back of the church. Each communion pod contains a wafer and juice.

There are two short but meaningful videos attached to this week's announcements; one expressing thanks and prayers for our essential workers who have cared for us all during Covid and another by The Skit Guys entitled Abundance in Love. I hope you will enjoy them both.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great week. Be safe and Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Family Day on February 15th.
