The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday Feb 26th 2021

Welcome to our thirty eighth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hope the past week was good to you.

The end of February is nearly here and we are about to start into the second week of Lent. Be sure to join us for worship and Rev Stuart's message entitled "A Time to Keep Silence and A Time to Speak". If you are joining us for in person worship, don't forget to pre-register online using the Registration tab on the home page of the church website, by calling Tracy in the office by 2 PM Friday or by calling me until 5 PM on Sat evening. I don't want preregistration to be an impediment to attending worship but you should know that it allows us:

to consider whether we have enough seating following Covid social distancing,
to know how many volunteers we need at the church on Sunday,
and serves as a contact tracing log for Public Health.

Please arrive early so we can screen and seat you before the live stream begins at 10:30. The music is live at 10:15. We have plenty of space; last week we had 10 people registered for worship and another 5 volunteers.

During Lent, Mount Royal is collecting items to assist Ensemble Moncton, an organization providing harm reduction counseling and solutions to some vulnerable people in our community. Thank you for your generous donations last week. The gloves were delivered on Wednesday. We invite you to bring socks or any of the other requested items to the church this week. They have requested gloves, socks, hats, scarves, underwear for men and women and hand warmers.

The first Friday of March is the day we generally mark World Day of Prayer. Be sure to look for the link to watch that service on the website or via Facebook later next week.

Occasionally the Newsletter Committee adds an extra video at the end of the recording of the weekly announcements. There is one for you this week which I hope you will enjoy. I would love to know whether you appreciate them. Please drop me a line and let me know.

Take very good care this week.
