If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Do you ever think about partnerships; those collaborations where two parties can have a symbiotic relationship? When they work well, we sometimes don't pay them much mind. Generally, those had effort put in at the front end to establish expectations. When the parameters haven't been laid down in advance, hard feelings can develop, then frustration, disappointment and eventually they become a whole lot of work to hold together.

Nancy Brown and I had a chance to talk partnerships on Thursday with a bunch of other folks from across the country on a Zoom educational session sponsored by Edge - A Network for Ministry Development of the United Church of Canada. We have quite enjoyed the chance to share experiences with the others and hear about unique and interesting ways other communities have tackled the challenges common to many of us.

Here is a little piece from the workbook we used today. "Ours is a relational God. Doing this work alone is not an option...Partnerships offer a new kind of hope and possibility of the future..."

Partnerships can be sought for many reasons; sources of income, increased donations or bottoms in the pews. Or maybe they are about building relationships simply for the chance to partner. One new partnership for Mount Royal is with Ensemble Moncton. See https://ensemblegm.ca/services/ for details on the harm reduction counselling and services they provide in the community. During Lent we have collected socks, gloves, hats and this week scarves for its clientele. Listen to Virtual Voices to hear what donations we are inviting for the remaining weeks of Lent.

We are now officially in the yellow recovery phase.  The number of worshippers attending in service worship in the sanctuary has remained low. If this is a Sunday you would like to come, please register online or call the office (506) 855-5771 before 2PM on Friday or on Saturdays until 5PM you can call me. This would be a great time for you to return to church if you feel comfortable. And friends are welcome too. Don't forget about the time change! We spring forward this weekend.

Here is a cute little video for the upcoming Easter season.

Be safe this week. As always, please contact me if you have comments or questions.
