MRUC Environmental Awareness Committee is Formed

The MRUC Environmental Awareness Group was formed as part of our response to the Interfaith Day of Climate Action on March 11, 2021. The committee met to ask, What if…… questions and to converse with ……yes and ….. ideas to let the possibilities for action flow without boundaries. In response to the question, ‘What if we started to do things today?”, the committee threw ideas into the ring. What if we became a place for the community to drop off glass jars and bottles, not recycled by our municipality? People can drive to Rayon Environmental Solutions on Berry’s Mills Rd. to recycle glass jars and bottles and now they can drop them off in the box at Mount Royal United Church and we will take them there for you. The committee had more ideas, but in order to make them happen the group needs to grow in numbers.
