A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

April 18-24 is National Volunteer Week in Canada. The theme this year is The Value of One, The Power of Many. It is intended to draw attention to "...the magic that happens when people work together..." which is particularly important in helping one another during these challenging Covid days.

Because of Covid we have a smaller number of volunteers at Mount Royal than usual but those that are helping are working really hard on your behalf. I want to use today's message to extend sincere thanks to all of our very dedicated volunteers, even those taking a break for a bit. You are serving your Community of Faith in many ways, including:
* Pastoral Care, UCW and other caring callers who check in with our church family,
* Choir and other musicians who provide beautiful music,
* our gardeners, building maintenance people and those who decorate the sanctuary and keep our entrances looking attractive,
* those who update our Facebook page and website,
* our representatives who ensure we are up to date with programs and services provided by the Region,
* our Treasurer and fund raisers and tellers who count the donations and help keep our finances in order,
* our Covid greeters, ushers and cleaners making sure the building is safe for worshippers each week,
* those taking part in educational programs and in visioning planning to look help us look to the future with great optimism,
* members of Ministry and Personnel who act as liaison between the staff and congregational needs,
* our Tech Team who record music and Virtual Voices and during worship and other special services operate the cameras and microphones and put up the slides with prayers, responses and lyrics to help us be an affirming Community of Faith,
* BLAST and Ukulele Church helpers leading our children on their spiritual journey and
* those who show leadership by chairing and participating on Committees that facilitate the work of the church.

Thanks to each and every one who is working so very hard at Mount Royal to keep us connected and our Community of Faith a caring family. Please enjoy this video which pays tribute to our volunteers and encourages you to consider ways you might help your Community of Faith.

Stay safe. And next week, remember to give thanks for all our hard-working volunteers.
