A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

This past week we recognized Earth Day. It was acknowledged in lots of different ways across the country. Sadly, some activities had to be cancelled or postponed because of COVID. But becoming more environmentally aware doesn't need to be an activity for once a year. It's something we can live out each day, one small step at a time.

I know I am guilty of using too many paper towels when I have a basket full of rags I could reuse. And I always pick white paper towels when an unbleached product would be better for the environment. I can recycle and reuse, repurpose and absolutely reduce my purchases. As one person it doesn't seem like much, but collectively we can all make a difference.

In this week's Virtual Voices, we name a few activities that might interest you if you care about the environment. Later this Easter season we will have Sarah Gingles take part in worship with Rev Stuart while she shares her passion about environmental awareness. And in case you are interested in knowing what Eastern Regions of the United Church are doing to promote environmental awareness, click here to check it out.

Please join us for worship on Sunday. The scripture lesson will be John 15:9-17, Friendship with Christ.

Registration for in person worship can be done on-line or after the office closes for the week, by calling me at 855-7008 until at least 6PM on Saturdays. Our numbers for in person worship are usually pretty small so most likely we have space. If you register online, I will confirm whether we have room on Saturday evening.

Don't forget the Memorial Hymn Sing happens on Friday, April 30th so for in person attendance you will have to register by Thursday.

Take care. Be safe and take up a practice that is good for the environment.
