Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

I got my new Costco Connection magazine this week. You know the one that comes out for Costco members? They are always full of fabulous pictures of great looking food, furniture, books and clothes. More things than I ever truly want or need. Even though I really don’t need anything, there always seems to be something I wouldn’t mind giving a try. Great marketing eh?

Life is kind of like that. Sometimes we look around and the people we see seem to be happier or healthier, smarter or more talented. They have newer cars, or clothes or houses. Sometimes they seem to have more friends or like their jobs more or have more leisure time. It’s hard to understand that we already have everything we need when there are so many new and different things left for us to try. If we could just find a way to change our mindset so we could realize just how blessed we already are...

On May 2nd, Rev. Stuart's sermon is entitled Continual Blessing. Maybe it will help us appreciate all that we have already been given.

I was looking for a positive comment to go along with the idea of understanding how truly blessed we are. There’s a nice one attached to the bottom of this message. Think about it for a minute.

Have a safe week. Wear a mask and remember to count your blessings.
