The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday June 11th 2021

Welcome to our fifty third edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Cathy and Esther bring you this week's announcements. They offer congratulations to a 2021 graduate, Kate Gingles. Are we missing news of any graduates? If so, please call the office by Wed. June 16th and pass along the names and from where and what program of study. We'll be happy to pass along best wishes from the Community of Faith.

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada. There is a lot of good information on the website for the Federal Crown Agency Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. Click Here for the site.

On Sunday, Rev. Stuart will put the focus on Indigenous people. He will encourage us to listen and understand. Perhaps he can help us make sense of relationships that have not always felt respectful.

Remember during this week's service we will celebrate communion. Don't forget to have your elements ready if you are participating in worship online. And, if you plan to join us in person, we will provide the communion packets containing both juice and a wafer. The livestream begins at 10:15 AM with France playing a musical Prelude.

You can register for in person attendance on the church website. Please be extra careful this week to register for our regular Sunday service and not the Regional Service scheduled for June 14th at 2PM by using the correct registration tab on the church web site.

Tracy Parrott has joined Rev. Stuart and Rev. Andy O"Neill in the Great Cycle Challenge in August, riding kilometers on their bicycles to raise money to combat cancer in children. Good luck to this trio. If you would like to support them in their fundraising initiatives, this link (click here) will take you to their team page or you can find it online on the church website.

Stay well. As always, please contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
