Best Regards, Newsletter Committee Important Update regarding COVID protocols YES THERE IS IN PERSON ATTENDANCE FOR THE SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE THIS WEEK Now in effect for all activities at Mount Royal United Church - Preregistration for in person worship in not required - We are recording names and phone numbers for contact tracing purposes - Mask wearing, hand sanitizing and social distancing are still required. ** Effective September 26, 2021, proof of double vaccination must be provided to attend worship. - MRUC Council has decided 100% of attendees for worship must be vaccinated. - No medical exemptions will be accepted at this time. - You may also be requested to provide a government issued identification. - If you are either unvaccinated or cannot wear a mask, please stay home until it is safer for you to attend church. Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler Hi. Hope you are well. I know the Government of New Brunswick (GNB) decision to extend the circuit breaker restrictions another week is discouraging for everyone. At the same time, the COVID-19 case numbers are decreasing and we need to remain positive that the restrictions will provide the intended result. Like many folks, I would like to see more people. Every day, I put off scrubbing the floors, I try to say it is the one positive of Zone 1 restrictions. Like all faith venues, Mount Royal is permitted to be open, and we are planning in person worship. We are still requesting full vaccination for all attendees to worship and any persons attending Committee meetings at the church. The numbers of people in the sanctuary for in person worship continue to be small. We have never been close to the maximum 50% capacity required by the GNB requirements. On October 31st, the All-Saints service will be done in Taizé style. Please join us in person or online for what will be a meaningful way to remember the 12 persons for whom candles will be lit and all the Saints that have gone before us. I am sure every one of us will be remembering loved ones. All set for Halloween fun? The GNB website advises that Halloween can still be done safely even in Zones, like Moncton, subject to circuit breaker restrictions.
