The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday January 14th 2022

Welcome to our seventy eighth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

How are things going this week? Are you happy that cold streak is over? I must confess, I prefer snow to the bitter cold even if it means shovelling the white stuff. I always say, "If it is going to be winter, let's have snow so we can enjoy being outside".

We have a couple of "guests" providing this week's announcements for Virtual Voices. Thanks to them for stepping in. Be sure to check them out.

Details on this week's service are in the announcements if you like to read the scripture in advance of joining worship online.

There isn't a lot of news to pass along from the church as no in person gatherings are taking place.

As you likely heard, the whole province is moving to Level 3 of the Winter Plan effective 11:59 PM on Jan 14th. Under Level 3, people must stay within their single-family bubbles and faith venues are only permitted to provide outdoor, virtual or in-car religious services. At Mt Royal, we will continue offering virtual services. You can find the latest Government of New Brunswick news here

Jan. 15th - Don't forget if you have recyclables to donate to the 1st Jones Lake Scouting group, weather permitting, put them out at your driveway or drop them off at the Bessborough parking lot between 9 AM and 12 PM. It is possible they will be postponing again. Feel free to contact Dawn Long at 878-9006 or Mary Stephenson at 871-7807 if you have recyclables to be picked up at your home at any time.

Stay well. I'll let you know when in person worship and gatherings start up again. As always, feel free to reach out with your comments and questions.
