Best Regards, Newsletter Committee YES THERE IS IN PERSON ATTENDANCE FOR THE SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE THIS WEEK IT IS ALSO AVAILABLE ONLINE LIVE STREAM Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler Hello - guess what? It’s the weekend and the forecast is calling for another snowstorm. It feels like a pattern this past month. Last Sunday, due to weather, Rev Stuart was not in church to lead worship. As an alternative, we offered a worship service selected by Rev Stuart that had been recorded in January 2021. This Sunday's worship service is the one planned for last week. I hope you will join us and find the service meaningful and worth waiting an extra week to hear. February 6th we will be open for in person worship to those fully vaccinated. Our other normal Covid protocols will be required: mask wearing, social distancing, hand sanitizing and we will be recording attendance. Of course, in case of inclement weather, check the church website information about Sunday worship to see if there is any change to in person worship. Our attendance numbers have been very low, so we have lots of space and room to social distance if you have been thinking about giving it a try. Do you want to learn more about the Peace and Friendship Treaties? Feb 10 at 7PM there will be a webinar sharing information about these and other treaties. These are important Committees to ensure the work of Mount Royal continues. I invite you to contact me if you have any questions about the positions we are trying to fill: - Vice Chair of Council - Chair of Ministry and Personnel Committee - Chair of Worship Committee - Chair of Nominations Committee - Minimum of 1 representative to Region 14 (There are many exciting initiatives happening at the Regional level.) - A team of people to help with BLAST (our Sunday School program once the children return to the church) - Member(s) at Large We also would love to see people volunteer to help with communications, Christian Development, ushering and reading scripture on Sunday mornings. Please contact me if you have any questions about volunteering, what in person worship looks like, how you can participate virtually in church activities. And please don't be shy to offer because of COVID. For many Committees, the numbers participating are low and social distancing is very possible. Thanks for your ongoing support!
