If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

ps. we added a couple extra special videos at the end of the messages this week.

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Did you enjoy the Anniversary Service on May 1st? Rev. Stuart began a series, entitled Faces of Faith, based on some of the lesser known and infrequently named people in the bible. During those Sundays a member of the Community of Faith will share a personal story of someone who had a positive influence in their lives.

And wasn't it special to have another baptism? It was wonderful to welcome Tate Liam Thorne officially into the Mount Royal family. Following COVID protocol, Rev. Stuart was able to offer the prayers and blessing and Tate's Dad, Matt, placed the water on his head and his Mom, Rebecca, carried him down the aisle to present him to the Community of Faith. Tate's big brother, Myles, was tasked with helping pour water into the bowl of the baptismal font. All of this made for special memories for the family and the Community of Faith.

We also had coffee and conversation after worship for the first time in a very long while. There was a good turn out and fellowship was enjoyed by all who felt comfortable attending. Volunteers to help in the kitchen and donate food would be appreciated by the UCW as we hope to offer this on an ongoing basis.

In fact, as people are comfortable returning to church, we are looking for volunteers to help with many things. Would you be able to help by ushering, giving someone a lift to church or to an activity, reading scripture, delivering bulletins or would you be interested in being trained to run sound or EZWorship, from the Control Box during worship? A very small group of dedicated volunteers have been helping since the beginning of Covid and it would be great to offer them a break from their weekly duties.

As always, please contact me if you have comments, questions, or suggestions.
