Activities will be slowing down in the next couple of weeks, but we'll likely send a few more messages before we all take a well-deserved break during the month of August. Please, if you have any information you would like to be shared with the Community of Faith, email it to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca and we will get it out at our earliest occasion. After recording, I was reminded that June is National Aboriginal History Month. I missed that so here is a link to information about the significance of recognizing it on the website for the Government of Canada Department known as Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. https://www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca/eng/1466616436543/1534874922512 Of particular significance is June 21st, National Indigenous People's Day. Watch for news of events open to all of us. And here are a couple of corrections noted post recording of Virtual Voices this week: Rev. Stuart is on study leave from June 6-19 inclusive. During that time, for any Pastoral Care emergencies, Rev Aaron Billard will be covering from June 6-12 and Rev. Catherine Stuart from June 13-19. Those contact numbers can be obtained from Tracy in the office or by emailing me a request. The Ministry and Personnel Committee is meeting on June 9th at 7PM. Any feedback, praise, or concern can be sent to the Committee in advance of the meeting. Rather than the email given in Virtual Voices, you are invited to communicate with the Chair using this address: mandpchair@mountroyaluc.ca Remember that summer office hours have begun: Tracy will be in the office from 9-12, 4 days per week. Please call ahead to confirm she is in the office as her day off may vary. As part of a recent Visioning Committee meeting with Rev. Kendall Harrison, we were encouraged to celebrate those things that we do well. We are great at providing and sharing food during coffee and conversation. Please join us in the social hall following the Sunday service. And if you would be willing to provide a light snack to be set out after worship, please contact Joyce Bremner at 506-854-1738.
