The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday July 29th 2022

Welcome to our one-hundredth and sixth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hi and thanks for joining Tracy, Bill, and me for the last edition of Virtual Voices before we start a brief summer vacation. We'll be back the last week of August.

The announcements are light with very few activities, Craft Group the ongoing exception. Any questions on the meeting spot, please contact Joyce Bremner.

As we were ready to record Virtual Voices this week, I learned from Rev. Stuart about Ed MacLeod's passing on July 28th. The sympathy of the Community of Faith is extended to Ed's wife, Joyce, son Andy and sister Marlene and brother, Don. Private graveside prayers will be held.

After Sunday, July 31st, staff are on vacation with Tracy and Rev. Stuart back to work the week of August 22nd. We will return to regular worship on September 4th. In Rev. Stuart's absence, please contact Rev. Steve Berube of St Paul's United Church for Pastoral Care emergencies. He can be reached at St Paul's at 506 386-3335.

I may be a bit slower responding but please contact me if you have questions or concerns about business matters at Mount Royal. Email is best. The address follows.

We will be making plans to wish our Office Administrator, Tracy, well in retirement, the end of September. Please contact me if you would like to assist. And please if you know of anyone who might be interested in a permanent part time position, please refer him or her to M&P Chair, Debbie Maund for a position description. You can reach her at mandp@mountroyaluc.ca

Thank you for continuing to support of Mount Royal United Church. Stay safe and I hope to see you back in church in September.
