Best Regards, Newsletter Committee Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler Hi. Welcome to Fall. After a warm, sunny month we are about to experience Fiona. Fingers crossed there is no major damage as it passes through Atlantic Canada. I know I have a couple of trees that might come down in the wind and depending on how they fall, I could lose my power and other trees. If only I could predict exactly how strong the wind might be? We are very fortunate that we don't usually experience loss of life because of such storms in our part of the world. Watch the weather and stay safe. This week's big news is our little celebration honouring Tracy as she retires. Join us Sunday after worship for coffee and conversation as we extend our best wishes. Her last day in the office will be September 29th. At the same time, we are welcoming Emily Smith, our new administrative assistant. Be sure to pop in and say hello to Emily. Last week 1st Jones Lake Scouting was a huge help to us in set up, clean up and food service during our first Community Fun Day. Thanks to them all. Let's try to return the favour as two of their participants undertake a community service project to earn the Chief Scout Award and King's Venturer Award. Please listen to details during the announcements. It is great to have the regular groups back meeting in the social hall. Some are relaxing the wearing of masks during their group events. Please know that we are still asking people to sing and move about with masks which can be removed when sitting while in the sanctuary for worship.
