A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Hi. Well December has arrived, more seasonal than much of November felt. Are you excited for snow? Every year I promise myself that I am going to snowshoe and cross country ski lots again but it has been a while since I managed to make the time to do it regularly. 2023 is going to be the year to make time again.

This week we move into the second week of Advent with all the activities that come with it. At Mount Royal Dec 4th is White Gift Sunday. Please listen to the announcements for a reminder of what we are collecting for those who could use some assistance. Your generosity is especially helpful this time of year.

There are many events that centre around the Christmas story; it’s magic and mystery. Be sure to stop and enjoy the season and the meaning of Christmas. Take in some special music, enjoy great food and the company of those you love.

One seasonal favourite is the carol sing before worship during Advent. We had one beginning at 10:15 last Sunday but very few people were in their seats. If you plan on attending in person worship, please plan to arrive and be singing by 10:15. Cathy will be waiting for your carol sing requests.

Lee Wilson, who occasionally delights us by playing the flute during weekly worship, plays in the Codiac Concert Band. Its fabulous director and a whole bunch of talented musicians will be hosting their first Christmas concert since 2019. It will be held on Friday December 16th at 7PM, at Mathieu Martin High School, 511 rue Champlain St in Dieppe.

Students are free and adults are $20.00 at the door. Take advantage of their early bird pricing if you purchase tickets before Dec. 7th. Use promo code EARLYBIRD.
