Best Regards, Newsletter Committee Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler Here we are - Christmas 2022. It is hard to believe another year is nearly over. How was it for you? Did the past 12 months just fly by? I cannot believe we are about to turn the corner into another year. Our Office Administrator, Emily, is already calling for Committee Chairs to provide reports for our annual report. Oh, my goodness. How did that happen already? She has requested submissions by January 9th. Please, do your best to get your reports in as early as possible. Tis the season for cheerful expressions and words of encouragement. Listen to or read those words in the Christmas message of the Moderator of the United Church of Canada, Carmen Lansdowne. In keeping with providing an inclusive message, there is both a video and a transcript of her communication of the website of the United Church. Check it out here Similarly, the Executive Minister of Fundy St Lawrence Dawning Waters Region, Rev. Faith March MacCuish, has shared her Christmas communication on the Regional website. Just be sure to scroll till you see the announcement of her message. I hope you will join us for one or both Christmas Eve services on the 24th. They are at 4 and 7 PM with live music beginning 15 minutes beforehand. It is so lovely to have some options again. Invite a friend or family member to the earlier Children’s program or plan on attending the 7 PM service to hear some beautiful music along with the scripture reading and Rev. Stuart’s message. Charlie and Lee join France and the anthem for Christmas Eve is very special. Want to know more about the “Living In Transformative Change” webinar sponsored by the United Church of Canada? Its January 15 from 3-5 PM and I’m hoping many of you will watch it together at the church. It will no doubt help us as we begin discussions about change at Mt Royal.
