Best Regards, Newsletter Committee Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler Hi. Here are the announcements for the week beginning Friday the 13th. I hope you don’t have an unlucky day. Many of the announcements are pretty standard this week but there are three to highlight: First, a community notice: On Saturday, January 14th at 6PM, the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra is back with a concert at the Wesleyan Celebration Centre. This is the first one at The Wesleyan in a very long time and is titled “An Infinity of Young Talent”. The NBYO has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City in June 2023. Please support these incredibly talented young people under the direction of Conductor Tony Delgado. They are an impressive group. Won’t you join in the Zoom conversation “Living in Transformative Change” on Sunday January 15 from 3-5PM AST? We’ll be watching together on the screens in the sanctuary. Doors open at 2:30. It should be an engaging conversation about adapting to change with lots of participants from many United Churches. And stay afterwards for a bite of pizza to chat about what might be helpful to us at Mount Royal. Free will offering towards pizza. And finally, don’t forget Lunch With Friends on Thursday at noon. Food and conversation are a good combo. And organizer Val tells me the program this week will be a fun journey through memories. Have a good week!
