The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday February 10th 2023

Welcome to our one-hundredth and thirtieth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:05 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from the Chair of Council - Susan Fowler

Thanks for checking out the announcements for this week. There are a couple of things that don’t happen every week: the UCW meeting on the 14th and Lunch With Friends on the 16th. Watch the announcements with Lee and Cathy for all the details.

In this week’s recording, we talked about remembering the people of Turkey and Northern Syria. Those areas suffered a devastating earthquake last week. The death toll continues to rise and so will the number of injured as search and relief efforts continue. Prayers for all those impacted and wondering about family members are always encouraged. If you would like to make a financial donation through the Mission and Service Fund you can do that through Mt Royal (contact Emily in the office for details), or directly through the M&S Fund of the United Church of Canada on its website.

Join us Sunday for communion. If you are worshipping remotely, have your elements ready before the service starts.

And finally, the Easter letters and charitable tax receipts are ready and will be in the mail slots at the back of the sanctuary. If you aren’t in church to pick yours up, they will be mailed to you. Please consider stopping in to the church or asking someone to drop yours off to help save postage.

I hope you like the new look of the church letters.

Have a good week. If  you have any comments or questions, please email me.
