Virtual Voices 136th Edition

Virtual Voices

The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday March 24th 2023

Welcome to our one-hundredth and thirty-sixth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from - a member of our Community of Faith, Susan Fowler

Thanks for checking out Virtual Voices this week. Thanks to Lee and Bill for joining me.

Some of the messaging is information after the Annual Meeting to explain positions on Council that remain vacant and how we carry on until a Chair of Council is in place. If you are someone who has always wanted to be on Council or a Committee and was hoping someone would ask, please don’t be shy. Remember there is lots of help and you are a volunteer doing all you can to help. Be sure to contact the office to let Emily know if you have a particular interest.

We have our regular weekly activities and a reminder again of an online class that is about United Churches that continue to thrive in post COVID times.

Sometimes I try to add a bit of local event news too, if there is room. Here is a note about a group many from Mount Royal try to support. Sistema NB will be at The Capitol Theatre Monday, March 27th at 6:30 PM. Their concert is free and open to the public. There is no reserved seating so first come first served. Doors open at 5:45 PM. Donations will be accepted in support of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra’s  trip to Carnegie Hall. Why not take that in!

Please join us for worship this week. Rev. Stuart’s message is entitled “Brazen Acts of Beauty”.

Have a good week.
