Welcome to our one-hundredth and forty-third edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

We have had activities every Saturday for weeks. This weekend is no exception. Saturday at 12:30 folks are invited to an open house in honour of Bill Mayo’s 90th birthday. Pop in to wish him well between 12:30 and 3:00PM. Our very best wishes Bill.

Saturday evening, May 13th at 7PM, the choirs of Visions United and Mt Royal present “A Night of Music.” Come show your support for the hard work that goes into music every week; sing some much-loved hymns and enjoy several instrumentalists sharing beautiful music. A free will offering will be accepted and light refreshments will be served in the social hall following the program. Let’s have a great turn out to show our appreciation to the choirs. The program will be livestreamed beginning at 6:45PM. You can find the link for the livestream on the church website www.mountroyaluc.ca

Sunday marks a very special day when we recognize Mother’s or just outstanding women who have made a difference in our lives. Can you name one or two or several? Take a minute and appreciate all they have done.

We have a couple of other birthdays to mention this week: Don Hebert, Brennon Webb, and Andrea Foreman. Hope you enjoy your special days. Don’t forget to let Emily in the office know if you have a special occasion to pass along.

In this week’s video, Lee and I promote the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra’s concert on May 19th. I believe 7PM was given as the time in this week’s recording. In fact the concert begins at 6:30 PM at the Wesleyan Celebration Centre to honour the 175 Anniversary of the 8th Hussars Canadian Regiment. Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, will be in attendance. Tickets are free but available on a first come first served basis. Help mark this very special homecoming weekend event. For tickets check out Eventbrite here.

I’m not Council Chair any longer, but you can still write to me and I’ll pass along your questions, comments, and concerns.

Have a great week.
