The Video E-Newsletter
of Mount Royal United Church
for Friday June 23rd 2023

Welcome to our one-hundredth and forty-ninth edition of the Mount Royal United Church Video E-Newsletter. You will find the video at the bottom of this message.

If you have any news items or information you think we should be including in an upcoming e-newsletter, please send your suggestion to newsletters@mountroyaluc.ca we will do our very best to put it on for you.

A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary  beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins with Rev. Stuart.

The weekly bulletin will be available here.

This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.

We hope you have a very good day today.
Best Regards,
Newsletter Committee

Message from - a member of our Community of Faith, Susan Fowler

Thanks for checking in for this week’s announcements. There aren’t too many by this time of year.

There are, however, always things to read about what’s happening in our Region on the Fundy St Lawrence Dawning Waters website or on the United Church of Canada site. I encourage you to check both out regularly.

Are you following the news of the search for the missing submersible? As I write, oxygen and time are running out despite search efforts concentrated where noise was detected. Its all incredibly scary, even if those onboard are located alive. By the time this message goes out, we will likely know their fate. I hope they will all be found safe but just finding them is so important for the families and loved ones of those on board. I am not so sure that I would ever have been brave enough to go into a small submersible; even to see the remains of the Titanic.

If you were in church last Sunday, June 18th or you may have noticed online, there was a “guest” during worship that was a bit disruptive to our style of worship. I want you to know that we are trying to be an open and welcoming Community of Faith while keeping everyone safe and comfortable. If you have any concerns, please let me know.

Have a good week.
Susan Fowler

PS -I’m no longer Council Chair but until we have someone to redirect the email to, for a time, I will respond to your messages or pass them to the appropriate Council Committee Chair.
