A quick reminder that our Sunday Service is live streamed from the sanctuary beginning at 10:30 AM and can also be watched later on the church website. The Prelude will begin at 10:15 AM with music and the announcement slides before the service begins
with Rev. Stuart.
The weekly bulletin will be available here.
This video will be produced and sent out weekly on Friday morning with all the important things from our faith community. We plan to keep them short so you have time to drink a cup of tea or coffee while you watch.
We hope you have a very good day today. Best Regards, Newsletter Committee

Welcome to this week’s edition of Virtual Voices, the online version of the weekly announcements for Mount Royal United Church, Moncton. There are only a very few items to highlight this week. Craft Group meets Tuesday at 10 AM in the kitchen. Everyone is welcome for this time of fellowship whether you bring along a craft to work on or just join in for the coffee and a chat. Your newsletter committee always tries to include any known celebrations. This week birthday greetings go out to John Brown on the 8th and Marlene MacLeod on the 10th. Best wishes to these folks and anyone else celebrating this week. We are also marking two other very special occasions: Sheldon and Nadine Nicholson are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary on July 7th. That is one notable milestone. Congratulations! I have included a recent picture of them which you may have seen in the photo directory. Best wishes to a remarkable couple.
We are rejoicing over the upcoming baptism on Sunday, July 9th, of Sadie Follows. Sadie is the much-loved daughter of Courtney Donovan and Tristan Follows. Baptisms are such times of joy in a Community of Faith. Welcome to the Mount Royal Family, Sadie! On Sunday, the anthem will be sung by Patricia Clement- Ryan, a family relative. She will sing “Hallelujah”, a powerful piece of music. Thank you for joining us and sharing your gift of music, Patricia.
Sandra Webb will read the scripture lessons: Psalm 105 as found in VU 828, Part One with sung refrain and Matthew 14: 22-33. Rev Stuart’s message is entitled “That First Step”. You can read his invitation to join in this week’s worship service in the email news blast that goes out on Sunday morning with the link to the service.
The Prelude begins at 10:15 on Sunday morning with the service starting at 10:30. Choir members can be scarce on Sunday mornings in July, especially on nice weather days. If you would be willing to sit in the choir loft and lend your voice to leading singing, we would love to have you. Please arrive by 9:45 and let France know you would love to join in.
Last week we had a large number of guests, mostly from churches in our community that are closed for vacation period. If you are worshipping with us in person, be sure to welcome any visitors and invite them downstairs after the service for coffee and conversation. "There is room for all."
I saw in the Fundy St Lawrence Dawning Waters weekly announcements that Camp Wegesegum, near Chipman, NB, is celebrating 100 years as a Christian Camp. If you attended CGIT Camp in this area, it likely was held at Wegesegum. I grew up in Saint John and that is the camp I attended as a young person. Join the festivities on July 15th, see some familiar faces from years gone by. See the Camp’s Facebook page for a schedule of activities.
Looks like a day or two of sunshine ahead. Maybe I will see you at the Atlantic Nationals on the weekend in Centennial Park. Be sure to check out community news or special events for our New Brunswick tourism and heritage sites to take full advantage of our short summer season.
Thanks for your ongoing financial support. Have a wonderful week.
