Marjorie Henderson - __ to 2022:

Mom died peacefully March 7th, 2022, two years after Dad passed away.  They were married 65 years. She leaves her 5 children: Colleen, Greg (Sue), Susie (Glenn), Shari ( George), Derek (Hayley); 6 grandchildren: Jonathan (Ashley), Alexandria (Kyle), Ashley (Jay), Tyler (Jenn), Sara (Dave), Cassie (Moe): 5 great grandchildren: Dylan, Noah, Weston, Drew, Levi and Emma(and 1more about to be born), and countless friends and other family members. Mom was especially close to Jeannie and the entire Smith/Lutes clan. We specifically thank Krista Lutes, Diane Ross and Gail Woodworth for all their wonderful support, especially during the past few years.

Mom earned her RN from the Royal Victoria hospital.  While studying, she met Dad and they married in 1954. They raised us in Halifax, Montreal, and Saint John, then settled back in her home town of Moncton and at our cottage in Pointe du Chene.  Our homes were filled with happy chatter, great card games and adventure. Mom & Dad loved to square dance and helped organize jamborees and were recognized for their service by dance movements.  Mom played bridge, euchre and just about any other card game, hosted wonderful Canada Day celebrations and remained a close confidant to many friends and family.

Mom was a proud woman, and supported women’s movements throughout the years. She had an insatiable curiosity about all that is life.  We will truly miss her. As per her wishes, no funeral will be held at this time, but there will be a Celebration of her life this summer.

Should you wish to make a donation in Mom’s name, her favourite charities were the Mount Royal United Church in Moncton, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and the Arthritis Society of Canada.
